Thank you so much to all the families who came out on Parent Teacher Conference Day. I love being able to share what your children have learned and can do, and also what they are ready to learn. It is so nice to have a class of eager learners and parents who will support them!
Just a reminder that students should work on the gingerbread man for us to display. You can use any materials you have at home to make the best gingerbread man ever!
If you are able to donate for the gingerbread houses, please send the supplies in by Friday, December 18.
This week we finished reviewing all the lowercase letters. Students should be able to identify the letters, tell the letter sound, and write the lowercase letter correctly.
In math, we are starting to add by joining groups and counting how many are in all. We wrote sentences like 2 and 4 is 6. We began using the plus sign today to show that we are putting two groups together.
In Readers Workshop, we are learning to read smoothly and with expression. We are practicing to sound like we are singing.
